Hull is one of few universities to incorporate digital and computer game design alongside film and TV. The structure of our degrees allows you to tailor your course to suit your own interests and specialisms. Film and Media is part of the School of Arts, which sits in the Faculty of Arts, Cultures and Education


Our film studies courses combine theory with the practical side of film-making. If media studies is more your thing, you can master your creative production skills while exporting the relationship between media and society.

Film and Digital Media at Hull is part of the vibrant School of Arts, with a whole host of creative events throughout the year.

Our programmes are cross-disciplinary, with ties to subjects in American Studies, World Cinema, and Chinese Studies – boosting your employability in a global career market.


You'll be taught by industry experts, our digital media staff have experience in managing large team-based projects across Europe, directing live media events and delivering visual design solutions in the creative industries.


Our film degrees are practical and hands-on. You'll study the theoretical and practical aspects of film side by side.
